AANAC RAC-CT Certification

About the RAC-CT Certification Program:

AANAC has developed a Certification Program consisting of materials to help clinicians learn the completion of the MDS. These materials are written by national experts in: clinical assessment, completion of the MDS and the regulatory process surrounding the MDS. An Editorial Board and other expert reviewers continually review each course to ensure all materials are current and up-to-date.

Each module generally consists of: physical assessment standards of practice; instructional information including source documents from regulation; instructor commentary, frequently asked questions; forms, tools, and in-service aids; case studies; a pre-test, quiz and a final exam. This Workshop provides the entire certification program in three days.

How the Certification Program Works:

In addition to completing the 7 core courses, the participant must complete a total of 3 elective courses. The 3 electives for this workshop are:
  • Expanded Quality Indicators and the MDS 2.0
  • Quality Measures and the MDS 2.0
  • Accurately Assessing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and the MDS 2.0
Pass each course with a score of 80% or higher in order to be included in the AANAC National Database for the RAC-CT.
